The plan for the photos, and the person taking them.
A new shop opened. A storefront changed. A room was missed. An event is coming and you want it covered. Or these are the very first photographs of a new tour.
Scouting is where you say where you want a photograph and what to shoot there, then hand that list to whoever is holding the camera.
Press Add a spot, then tap the map where you want a photograph. Press it again to stop adding.
Drag a spot to move it. Click one to jump to it in the list. Find an address moves the map there, which is faster than dragging across town.
The small blue dots are photographs the tour already has, so you can see at a glance what is covered and what is not.
Give each spot a short name and one line on what to shoot: Corner of Main and Ball, looking north up the street.
Write it for somebody standing there with a camera who has never been to your town.
Choose who is taking them: your contractor, or somebody else by name and email. Send the photo list emails them one button that opens the list on their phone.
The same person always gets the same link, so sending again does not leave a trail of dead ones. Send again resends it, Copy the link lets you send it by text yourself, and Turn off kills that link straight away.
Leave this screen open while they are out. Each spot turns green as its photograph is taken, and the screen checks every thirty seconds by itself.
That is how you know the shoot is going before anybody comes back, and how you spot the two they could not get to.
+ and − zoom the map, and scrolling works too.
A spot on the map can be dragged to move it, and clicking it jumps to that spot in the list beside the map, which is how you find the right one on a plan with thirty.
Remove takes a spot off the plan.
Opens the older Scouting page on the same plan, so you can compare the two views of the same work. It changes nothing.
