Routes without stairs
Some guests use wheelchairs. Some push strollers, pull loaded carts, or simply cannot take stairs. StrollPoint shows them a level path before they arrive, and guides them along it once they do.
Nobody finds out until they are already standing there
A parent tours a school in a wheelchair and discovers the auditorium entrance is three steps up. A couple books a wedding venue and learns on the day that the ceremony lawn is reached by a gravel slope. A camper arrives and cannot get from the parking pad to the bathhouse without asking a stranger for help.
None of that is on the map. Static maps show where things are, not whether a particular person can get to them. The information almost always exists, usually in the head of somebody who works there, and it never reaches the person who needs it while there is still time to matter.
How it works
StrollPoint routes people along paths you draw between the points on your property. Accessibility is a property of those connections rather than a vague shaded zone on a map, which is what makes it precise enough to trust.
Walk it once
Photograph the property in 360 and drop a point everywhere a visitor might stand.
Mark the barriers
Open the connection between two points and mark that it has steps. That is the whole task, and you do it once.
Publish
From then on any guest can ask for a route without stairs, and the tour finds a level way around.
One-way barriers are handled too
Real properties are not symmetrical. A short drop off a patio can be stepped down but not climbed back up. A barrier can be marked in a single direction, so a route avoids it one way and permits it the other.
What the guest actually gets
- The same turn-by-turn directions everyone else gets, with distances in feet, not a separate stripped down experience
- A route that avoids every connection your team marked, chosen automatically when they ask for it
- All of it visible from home, on a phone, before deciding whether the trip is worth making
- A QR code at each point, so a guest already on the property can scan and pick up directions from exactly where they are standing
The point is dignity as much as logistics. Nobody should have to ask a stranger whether they are able to get somewhere.
Who the ADA covers
The Americans with Disabilities Act has two parts that matter here.
- Title II covers public bodies, including public schools, community colleges, city and county parks, and municipal facilities.
- Title III covers businesses open to the public, including wedding venues, resorts, campgrounds, and private schools.
The deadlines that are actually dated
In April 2024 the Department of Justice finalized a rule under Title II. State and local government web content, which includes school and park websites, must meet a technical standard called WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The rule sets compliance dates based on population.

What about business websites
There is no dated rule for business websites. But the Department of Justice has said for years that the ADA applies to the websites of businesses open to the public, and courts hear these cases regularly. WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard those cases point to, which is why most venues treat it as the target even without a deadline forcing them to.
No software makes a property compliant by itself. Ramps and doorways get built, not configured. What a tour can do is tell a guest the truth about your property before they get in the car.
Where StrollPoint fits, and where it does not
Being straight about this matters more than a marketing claim. StrollPoint helps with the part of accessibility that is about information: knowing which paths are level, and being guided along them. It does not alter your buildings, and publishing a tour does not by itself make an organization compliant with anything.
We also publish an honest account of how our own software performs against WCAG 2.1 AA, including the parts that only partially conform today. That document is the VPAT, and it is public rather than available on request, because a procurement officer at a school district should not have to ask for it.
