StrollPoint Privacy Policy
This policy outlines data handling and security protocols for StrollPoint tours, automatically generated property websites, and the Front Desk management dashboard. StrollPoint is engineered for data minimization, ensuring visitor privacy while delivering actionable insights to property managers.
Anonymous by Default
Visitor exploration is entirely anonymous. The platform requires no user accounts, names, or email addresses to navigate a property. StrollPoint only processes personal information when a visitor actively chooses to submit it.
Automated Analytics & Data Minimization
StrollPoint tracks property engagement to provide managers with accurate reporting, but it does so without identifying individual users.
- No IP logging: Internet Protocol (IP) addresses are never recorded.
- No persistent cookies: The system generates a randomized identifier for each page load that counts the visit. This identifier is destroyed the moment the visitor closes the browser tab.
- Broad geolocation: Location data is captured strictly at the country level via Cloudflare routing.
- Usage metrics: The platform records which locations were viewed, the total session duration, and whether the device was physically on-site.
- Retention: Individual session records are securely purged after 400 days. Completely anonymized daily aggregates are retained permanently for long-term board reporting.
Voluntary Information Collection
When visitors actively engage with interactive features, StrollPoint collects only the exact information requested by the specific form. This data is strictly siloed to the individual property.
- News & Updates: Collects the email address, optional name, sign-up location, timestamp, and the exact consent agreement.
- Digital Passports: Progress stamps are tied locally to the visitor’s device. An email address is only required upon prize redemption to facilitate delivery and prevent duplicate claims.
- Bookings: Collects the target business, visitor name, email, and optional phone number, date, time, party size, and custom messages.
- Applications (Vendors, Jobs, Volunteers): Collects name, email, phone number, and specific questionnaire responses required by the property manager.
- Event Submissions: Collects event details, times, locations, and the submitter’s contact information for manager review.
- Local Voting: Votes are tied to a persistent, device-generated random identifier to ensure one vote per device. No names or personal identifiers are collected.
Verified Communications (Double Opt-In)
StrollPoint utilizes a strict verification system for mailing lists. Visitors requesting updates receive a single confirmation email. If the verification link remains unclicked, the email address is automatically purged from the system after 30 days. Every communication includes a permanent unsubscribe link that functions immediately.
Strict Access Control & Data Ownership
All visitor data belongs exclusively to the property. Only the designated tour owner and their explicitly authorized management team can view these records. StrollPoint does not sell, rent, or leverage visitor data for external marketing.
Trusted Infrastructure Partners
StrollPoint utilizes enterprise-grade infrastructure to securely process and store platform data. No other third parties have access to this information.
- Cloudflare: Page delivery and analytics processing.
- Supabase: Database and media hosting.
- Stripe: Secure subscription payment processing (handled entirely on Stripe’s dedicated checkout pages).
- Resend: Transactional and newsletter email delivery.
Data Management & Deletion Rights
Visitors can instantly remove themselves from property mailing lists using the link provided in every email. For complete data deletion across the platform, visitors may email [email protected] specifying the relevant tour, or request removal directly from the local property management team, who have full authorization to permanently delete records.
Property Management Security
Property managers access the Front Desk via secure authentication. Passwords are processed directly by the authentication provider and are never stored or held by StrollPoint pages. Property owners retain exclusive administrative authority to invite or remove team members.
Children’s Privacy
The platform is designed for general audiences navigating physical destinations. StrollPoint does not intentionally collect or retain information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child’s information has been submitted to a tour, please contact [email protected] for immediate deletion.
